MoonFuzz was born in 2016 from the depths of Whittier, California. Founding members Miranda Viramontes and Brandi Estrada met in high school—Miranda approached Brandi to form a band, and the rest was history. Heaven joined the band in the fall of 2018, completing the perfect chemistry of MoonFuzz. With a shared love for the sounds of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s universe of heavy rock and roll, the trio naturally creates a unique blend of hard rock and proto-metal with a progressive touch. Miranda Viramontes screeches on the guitar with daring chord progressions and aggressive solos. Brandi Estrada holds down the drums, pounding out the rhythm of her heart with carefully articulated beats that carry each song. Heaven Martinez drives melodic bass lines, delivers haunting vocals, and sings lyrics conjured straight from the soul. Through divine intervention, the three members came together—perfectly aligned to chase their rock and roll dreams and deliver new sounds unheard of, reinventing what it means to be women in rock. MoonFuzz is ever-growing, constantly pushing boundaries in writing and performance, always striving to create music better than their last release, and to play live shows that outdo every show before.
